Purpose
The Pride Ignite College & Career Program is designed to prepare young adults for college, careers, and leadership opportunities. Participants are expected to demonstrate professionalism, responsibility, and respect at all times. The rules below are strict expectations that ensure a safe, productive, and focused learning environment.
1. STRICT NO PHONE OR PERSONAL DEVICE POLICY
Personal phones, smart watches, tablets, headphones, gaming devices, and other electronics are strictly prohibited during program hours unless specifically authorized for educational purposes by staff.
- Devices must be turned off and stored away before entering program activities.
- If a device is visible or used without permission, it will be confiscated immediately.
- Confiscated devices will only be returned to a parent or guardian.
- Repeated violations may result in suspension or removal from the program.
2. PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT
Participants must conduct themselves in a professional manner similar to a workplace or college environment.
The following behaviors will not be tolerated:
- Disrespect toward staff, instructors, or peers
- Bullying or intimidation
- Disruptive or defiant behavior
- Physical aggression or threats
- Refusal to follow instructions
3. ACTIVE PARTICIPATION
Participants are expected to actively engage in all scheduled activities including workshops, training sessions, mentoring, career development, and leadership exercises.
Sleeping, disengaging, refusing participation, or distracting others is not acceptable.
4. ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY
Participants must arrive on time and remain present for the full duration of scheduled programming.
Excessive tardiness or unexcused absences may result in disciplinary action or dismissal from the program.
5. RESPECT FOR FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT
Participants must respect program facilities, equipment, and materials.
Any intentional damage or misuse of property may result in financial responsibility and disciplinary action.
6. APPROPRIATE LANGUAGE AND BEHAVIOR
Participants must use respectful and professional language at all times.
Profanity, discriminatory remarks, harassment, or inappropriate comments are strictly prohibited.
7. DRESS EXPECTATIONS
Participants must dress in a manner that reflects professionalism appropriate for a college or career development environment.
Clothing with offensive language, inappropriate graphics, or revealing attire is not permitted.
8. CONSEQUENCES FOR POLICY VIOLATIONS
Failure to follow program rules may result in the following actions:
- Verbal warning
- Parent/guardian notification
- Written behavioral notice
- Temporary suspension from program activities
- Permanent removal from the Pride Ignite College & Career Program
Judah Ministries reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior compromises safety, learning, or the integrity of the program.
Acknowledgment and Agreement
By signing below, the participant and parent/guardian acknowledge that they have read, understand, and agree to comply with the Pride Ignite College & Career Program policies and expectations.
