Bring People Together To Build Homes, Communities and Hope
PrideTown Housing Development is a program for families that are interested in being homeowners. The program requires families to do a minimum of 40 weeks of financial education courses to potentially receive their first home. Our programs are extended to individuals who majority (99%) identify with a minority group and come from low-income backgrounds. About 97% of the children that attend Pride Academy and Before and After Care programming receive free or reduced school meals, free or reduced childcare payment through the Child Care Development Fund (CCDF), and free health care. Around 85% of the families and community members, we service receive government assistance through SNAP, WIC, SSI, Section 8 Housing, and Medicare/ Medicaid benefits. Furthermore, our organization advocates for justice for the under-marginalized groups in our society by becoming a community asset in their neighborhoods.
