For younger members, the Scout method is part of the program to instill typical Scouting values such as trustworthiness, good citizenship, and outdoors skills, through a variety of activities such as camping, aquatics, and hiking.

Karate
Teaching Kata and Striking Techniques. Karate instructor Keith Boggs of Broad Ripple Martial Arts teach techniques and movements such as katas, punches, kicks and strikes. Katas are forms or series of movements that students must master for different belt rankings. Movements include punches, blocks and kicks that help students with balance and agility. Also, Keith Boggs teaches the children about self defense and the counting in Japanese.

Violin/Piano/Music & Media Technology
Creating an exceptional music lesson experience is one of the most complex and challenging forms of education. Musical skill involves the most sophisticated muscle training to hit the right notes (technique), complex aural (listening) training to develop a “good ear”, a detailed understanding of the concepts, symbols and style of music (sometimes called “music theory”) and much more. All this must be accomplished while maintaining and developing the student’s love of music, setting inspiring goals, and gaining confidence as a performer.
Ages: 3-12

Performing Arts/Hip Hop Dance
Performing arts includes dance, music, opera, theatre and musical theatre, magic, illusion, mime, spoken word, puppetry, circus arts, performance art, recitation and public speaking. Toe-2-Toe Dance Studio teaches Hip Hop dance, as well.

Each Hip Hop/Zumba/Aerobics class will consist of a warm-up, time for learning and practicing hip-hop skills, and time focused on learning a dance. This all-levels class is fun, high energy, and great for girls and boys! Parents are invited to come out and participate in the sessions.
Days of Week: Twice/Week
Ages: 3-12

Outside Cooking/Gardening
Outdoor cooking differs substantially from kitchen-based cooking, the most obvious difference being lack of an easily defined kitchen area. As a result, PAK Summer Campers will have developed a significant body of techniques and specialized equipment for preparing food in outdoors environments. Such techniques have traditionally been associated with nomadic cultures such as the Berbers of North Africa, the Arab Beduins, the Plains Indians and pioneers of North America, and have been carried down to and refined in modern times for use during recreational outdoors pursuits.

Currently, much of the work of maintaining and developing outdoor cooking traditions in Westernized countries is done by the Scouting movement and by wilderness educators such as the National Outdoor Leadership School and Outward Bound, as well as by writers and cooks closely associated with the outdoors community.
Ages: 5-12

Golf Lessons
Golfing is an area of land laid out for golf with a series of 9 or 18 holes each including tee, fairway, and putting green and often one or more natural or artificial hazards —called also golf links. PAK Summer Campers will be able to learn the fundamentals of golfing and add a new sport to their repertoire.
